The Malama Trust
Our Work So Far
The Malama Trust is a Malawian NGO run by Anna Davidson and her team in Malawi. The Mango Tree Nursery is one of two nurseries that is run by the Malama Trust with a second nursery in Thyolo. We started by supporting both nurseries with resources and uniforms, then with teacher training, but we now support both nurseries by also paying for all their running costs including the teachers salaries.
Mango Tree nursery is in Cape Maclear, a rural village on the lake side. The Thyolo Nursery is on site at a local church near to Blantyre, which also has a feeding centre for over 400 elderly individuals on a daily basis.
We have also paid for transport for all the teachers in Thyolo to come to Cape Maclear to be involved in the teacher training led by multiple volunteers. We will continue to support the Malama Trust and the 120 children they serve in their nurseries every day.
